I was inspired by Shakespeare’s idea of “The world is a stage” from As You Like It, where he describes life through seven stages. This made me think about my own life and the different stages I have experienced. There are different ways of understanding life. Aristotle described four stages, while some people divide it into three. In this work, I present my own stages of life. I have shown six stages, each with a different form, representing important parts of my life from childhood to the present. My hometown and its surroundings have strongly influenced me. So I have used elements like paddy fields and football grounds, which were part of my everyday life. These things have also changed with time, just like I have. The smallest white sphere represents my baby stage. White, for me, represents innocence and purity. As You Like It, where he describes life through seven stages. The brown sphere represents my school and teenage years. It connects with the playground, soil, and the place where I grew up. The green and blue forms represent my connection with paddy fields. I used to work in rice cultivation with my family. Green reminds me of the freshness and growth of the fields. The final structure gradually becomes blue. Blue is connected with two people I once loved deeply, and both of them liked this colour. The different shades of blue bring back memories of those relationships and the changes in my feelings over time. There is no fixed ending in this work. It is simply a reflection on the different stages I have lived through and the experiences that have shaped who I am today. The green and blue forms represent my connection with paddy fields. There is no fixed ending to this work. My present life, especially my experiences in China and different social and cultural environments, continues to bring new experiences. These may lead to new forms and colours beyond these six stages. Shakespeare described a few stages of life, but for me, it could be thousands of stages, because every experience can become another part of my life.
